Neusiedlersee is a wine region of Burgenland, Austria.

Welschriesling leads the plantings, with Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and Grüner Veltliner alongside it.

The ground underneath is gravel, loam and sand.

The climate is continental.

The vineyards themselves read as lakeside and slopes.

Sweet white wine and dry red wine is what the region is known for, and in the glass it shows complex, rich sweetness from botrytis-affected grapes, bright and intensely flavored, plus one more.
