Escondido Valley is an AVA in Pecos County in western Texas.
Escondido Valley is a separate western Texas appellation, outside Texas Hill Country. The official register places it in Pecos County. Its semiarid setting differs from the more humid growing environment of central Texas. Establishment as an AVA identifies a delimited place; it does not by itself show the current extent of vineyard activity or establish a signature grape.
