Azores Region is a wine region of Portugal.

Verdelho leads the plantings, with Arinto (Pederna), Terrantez and Fernao Pires alongside it.

The ground underneath is volcanic.

The climate is maritime/oceanic, running wide diurnal swing.

The vineyards themselves read as elevated and island.

Fortified wine, dry white wine and sweet white wine is what the region is known for, and in the glass it shows rich, lush, aromatic and flavorful.

Labels here fall under the Acores VR (Vinho Regional), the Biscoitos IPR and the Graciosa IPR, plus one more.
