What stays on the phone.
The web app is the real product, not a preview, but a few things genuinely belong to the phones. Here is the honest list.
- The guided first run. Onboarding lives in the apps, so the best first day is: set up on your phone, then open the browser whenever you are at a desk.
- Purchases. Premium is bought in the iOS or Android app. Once subscribed, it applies on the web automatically.
- Push notifications. You can edit every notification preference on the web; the notifications themselves arrive on your phone.
- Share-card images. The web mints share links; the designed card image itself renders on your phone.
- The cartographic map. The web ships the region atlas as a list; the pannable map stays in the apps.
- Joint camera scans in Mix Palate. Pointing two phones at one menu is, fittingly, a two-phone activity.

i.Is it the same account?+
Yes. Sign in at web.sommo.app with the same Apple or Google account you use in the app, and your cellar, journal, palate, and study progress are simply there. There is no separate web account and no import step.
ii.Does my Premium apply on the web?+
Yes. Subscribe once in the iOS or Android app and Premium follows your account everywhere, the web included. See pricing.
iii.Can I scan wine labels from a laptop?+
Yes. The web app scans with your webcam, or from a photo you drop in, which is handy for a label picture already sitting on your desktop. Menu scoring works the same way.
iv.Should I start on the web or the phone?+
Start on the phone: the guided setup lives there, and a wine app earns its keep in shops and restaurants. The web app is where the desk work happens, browsing the cellar on a big screen, writing longer notes, studying for WSET, exporting your data.
