The tasting note runs to spiced cherry, raspberry, bright, elegant, silky and spicy.
It is planted most seriously in Burgenland, Neusiedlersee, Lower Austria and Czech Republic.
In the vineyard it is marked by mid ripening, high vigour and a preference for favorable to austrian conditions.
It blends readily with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Blaufränkisch.
