Zlahtina is a white grape variety, with its roots in Primorska Hrvatska, Croatia.

The wines show light body, no tannin, medium-low acidity, dry and low alcohol.

The tasting note runs to lemon, citrus, apple and pear.

It is planted most seriously in Krk.

In the vineyard it is marked by mid ripening, high-yielding vigour and a preference for coastal.

On other labels it goes by Vrbnicka Žlahtina, Žlahtina Bijela and Zlajtina.

At the table it suits škampi na buzara, mozzarella and fig salad and pasta with rocket and chilli.
