Verdesse is a white grape variety, with its roots in Isère, France.

The wines show medium-full body, no tannin, medium-high acidity, dry and high alcohol.

The tasting note runs to green fruits, floral notes, floral and green.

It is planted most seriously in Bugey and Savoie.

In the vineyard it is marked by mid ripening, not mentioned vigour and a preference for thrives in mountainous areas.

It blends readily with Jacquere, Aligoté, Altesse and Chardonnay.
