The wines show light body, no tannin, medium acidity, dry and medium alcohol.
The tasting note runs to citrus, stone fruit, floral and herbal.
In the cellar it meets unoaked.
It is planted most seriously in Languedoc, Minervois and Corbieres.
In the vineyard it is marked by early ripening, high yielding vigour and a preference for warm climates.
It blends readily with Bourboulenc, Grenache Blanc, Maccabeu and Marsanne.
