Sgavetta is a white grape variety, with its roots in Emilia-Romagna, Italy.

The wines show light body, no tannin, medium-high acidity, dry and medium alcohol.

The tasting note runs to citrus, green apple, herbaceous notes, floral and earth.

It is planted most seriously in Emilia-Romagna.

In the vineyard it is marked by early ripening, moderate vigour and a preference for cool temperatures.

It blends readily with Sauvignon Blanc.
