Rioja White Blend is a white blend rather than a single variety, with its roots in Rioja, Spain.

The wines show medium body, no tannin, medium-high acidity, dry and medium alcohol.

The tasting note runs to green apple, melon, stone fruit, honeysuckle, citrus and freshly cut grass.

In the cellar it meets stainless steel.

It is planted most seriously in Rioja.

In the vineyard it is marked by early ripening, varied vigour and a preference for moderate.

It blends readily with Viura, Malvasia Riojana, Garnacha Blanca and Verdejo.

On other labels it goes by Rioja Blanco.

At the table it suits spanish tortilla, basque baked spider crab (txangurro al horno) and grilled garlic chicken with figs and tahini sauce.
