Prie Blanc is a white grape variety, with its roots in Valle d’Aosta, Italy.
The wines show light body, no tannin, high acidity, dry and medium alcohol.
The tasting note runs to mountain herbs, minerality, floral and herbal.
It is planted most seriously in Valle d’Aosta and Valais.
In the vineyard it is marked by early ripening and a preference for mountainous.
On other labels it goes by Blanc de Valdigne, Prié and Blanc de Morgex et de la Salle.
At the table it suits gnocchi with mountain herbs, lemon sole with asparagus and broad bean and goats’ cheese salad.
