Port Blend White is a white blend rather than a single variety, with its roots in Douro Valley, Portugal.
The wines show medium-full body, no tannin, medium acidity, off-dry and medium alcohol.
The tasting note runs to honey, almond, stone fruits, floral notes, spice and herbal.
It is planted most seriously in Douro Valley.
In the vineyard it is marked by mid ripening, high vigour and a preference for warm, dry.
It blends readily with Viosinho, Malvasia Fina, Rabigato and Gouveio.
On other labels it goes by Port White and White Port.
At the table it suits charcuterie, cheese, light desserts and almond cake.
