Pamid is a red grape variety, with its roots in Eastern Europe, Bulgaria.
The wines show light body, low tannin, low acidity, off-dry and medium alcohol.
The tasting note runs to light red fruits, citrus, floral and herbal.
It is planted most seriously in Thracian Lowlands and Thrace.
In the vineyard it is marked by early ripening, medium vigour and a preference for warm.
On other labels it goes by Piros, Szlanka and Rosioara.
At the table it suits stuffed meatballs, soba-noodle salad with scallions and cured meats.
