Ojaleshi is a red grape variety, with its roots in Georgian Republic, Georgia.
The wines show light body, medium-low tannin, medium acidity, off-dry and medium alcohol.
The tasting note runs to raspberry, cherry, redcurrant, white pepper, herbs and spice.
It is planted most seriously in Georgian Republic.
In the vineyard it is marked by mid ripening.
On other labels it goes by Odjaleshi and Odzhaleshi.
At the table it suits lobio (georgian-style beans with walnuts and spices), fruitcake with cheddar cheese and kale with apples and walnuts.
