The wines show medium body, no tannin, medium acidity, sweet and medium alcohol.

The tasting note runs to baked apples, light citrus, grapey and musky.

It is planted most seriously in Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto, Friuli and Pfalz.

In the vineyard it is marked by early ripening and a preference for hilly, limestone-dominant.
