The wines show medium body, no tannin, medium-high acidity, varies and medium alcohol.
The tasting note runs to citrus, stone fruits, floral, honey, nectar and almond.
It is planted most seriously in Tuscany, Lazio and Friuli.
In the vineyard it is marked by mid ripening, medium vigour and a preference for temperate.
It blends readily with Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio.
