Jurancon Blanc is a white grape variety, with its roots in Gascony, France.
The wines show medium body, no tannin, medium-high acidity, dry and medium alcohol.
The tasting note runs to citrus, stone fruit, herbaceous notes, floral and herbal.
It is planted most seriously in Gascony.
In the vineyard it is marked by early ripening, low vigour and a preference for warm.
On other labels it goes by Brachetto Bianco, Notre Dame, Quillard and Sans-Pareil.
At the table it suits ceviche with coconut cream, steamed pork buns and buffalo chicken wings.
