The tasting note runs to apricot, stonefruit and floral.
It is planted most seriously in Languedoc-Roussillon and Cotes Catalanes.
In the vineyard it is marked by early ripening, vigorous vigour and a preference for warm, dry environments.
It blends readily with Grenache and Viognier.
