Clairette - Muscat is a white blend rather than a single variety, with its roots in Rhone Valley, France.

The wines show light-medium body, no tannin, medium acidity, medium-sweet and medium alcohol.

The tasting note runs to apple, grapey, floral and herbal.

It is planted most seriously in Rhone Valley.

In the vineyard it is marked by early ripening, moderate vigour and a preference for warm.

It blends readily with Garganega and Moscato d’Asti.
