Chardonnay - Viura is a white blend rather than a single variety, with its roots in Catalonia, Spain.

The wines show medium body, no tannin, medium-high acidity, dry and medium alcohol.

The tasting note runs to citrus, apple, pear, stone fruit, floral and nutty.

It is planted most seriously in Rioja and Catalonia.

In the vineyard it is marked by mid ripening, medium vigour and a preference for prefer cool climates.

It blends readily with Parellada and Xarel-lo.
