Caladoc is a red grape variety, with its roots in Languedoc / Provence, France.
The wines show medium-full body, medium-high tannin, medium acidity, dry and medium alcohol.
The tasting note runs to wild berries, balsamic, eucalyptus, herbal and earthy.
It is planted most seriously in Languedoc, Provence, Lisboa and Mendoza.
In the vineyard it is marked by late ripening and not mentioned vigour.
It blends readily with Malbec and Grenache.
On other labels it goes by Kaladoc.
At the table it suits minted lamb chops with roasted beetroot, pork steaks with balsamic glaze and steak with hand-cut fries.
