The wines show medium-full body, medium-high tannin, medium acidity, dry and medium alcohol.

The tasting note runs to blackcurrant, blackberry, plum, cherry, herbaceous and vegetal.

It is planted most seriously in Marche and Puglia.

In the vineyard it is marked by late ripening and a preference for long, sunny autumns.
