The wines show medium body, no tannin, high acidity, dry and medium alcohol.
The tasting note runs to apricot, peach, floral and soapy.
In the cellar it meets lees ageing.
It is planted most seriously in Bairrada and Dão.
In the vineyard it is marked by early ripening, moderate vigour and a preference for warm.
It blends readily with Arinto.
