Antao Vaz is a white grape variety, with its roots in Alentejo, Portugal.
The wines show medium-full body, no tannin, medium acidity, dry and medium alcohol.
The tasting note runs to tropical fruits, citrus, honey, floral and herbal.
It is planted most seriously in Alentejo.
In the vineyard it is marked by mid ripening, good vigour and a preference for hot, dry.
It blends readily with Roupeiro and Arinto.
