The Radar Up Top

Taste DNA is your palate as a fingerprint: body, sweetness, acidity, tannin, intensity, and adventurousness, each read from your actual entries and drawn on a six-axis radar. An axis Sommo doesn’t have enough data for yet stays dim rather than guessing. Recent entries weigh more than old ones, so the shape follows your taste as it moves, and the whole card is shareable when you want to compare fingerprints with a friend (or let Mix Palate do the comparing properly).

Three Wines to Unlock

The reading is grounded in your actual history, not a personality quiz. That means it needs data to start. Log three wines with ratings and you’re in.

Before then, the palate entry in your Journal shows a sample reading paired with a live progress bar. One of three, two of three, ready. The steps are spelled out so there’s no guesswork: scan, rate, read.

When you cross the third entry, Sommo sends a push notification that your reading is ready. Tap it and you land straight on your palate.

Based on your actual history, the AI suggests specific wines and regions to explore next. If you love Vega Sicilia and Château Margaux, it might point you toward Barolo from Piedmont. If your journal shows a pattern of high-acid whites, it might suggest Chablis or Austrian Grüner Veltliner.

A one-line motto that captures your wine philosophy and a creative comparison, like “If your collection were a music genre, it would be jazz.” Shareable, memorable, and often surprisingly accurate.
