Two Columns Where They Help
Unfolded, the cellar list sits beside the 3D wine wall, journal entries beside their history, and wine details beside a map of the region.
Unfold it. Two columns.

Unfolded, the cellar list sits beside the 3D wine wall, journal entries beside their history, and wine details beside a map of the region.
Closed, Sommo runs on the outer display with the same tabs and tools as on any iPhone. Scan a label there, then unfold to read more.
It is the same native SwiftUI app from the App Store, so your cellar, journal and Premium come with you across iPhone, iPhone Duo and iPad.
Download Sommo from the App Store. There is no separate iPhone Duo app.
On the outer display, Sommo works as it does on any iPhone: scan, check the cellar, write in the journal.
Open the device and the cellar, journal and wine pages spread into two columns, list on one side and detail on the other.
Sommo is iPhone Duo ready. From version 2.1.8 it is the same native SwiftUI app you install from the App Store on iPhone and iPad, not a separate download and not a web page in a shell. Closed, it runs on the outer display like any iPhone. Unfold it and three screens move to two columns: the cellar list beside the 3D wine wall, journal entries beside their history, and wine details beside a map of the region.
Closed, iPhone Duo is a phone, and Sommo behaves exactly as it does on any iPhone. The tab bar is the same: Today, Cellar, Scan, Journal and Explore.
This is where quick jobs happen. Scan a label in a shop aisle and read the grapes, region and Sommo’s tasting estimate. Check which bottle is ready to drink tonight. Rate a glass at the table before the moment passes. None of it needs the device open.
Open the device and Sommo gets a much wider canvas. On three screens it uses that width for a second column, so you stop moving back and forth between a list and the page it leads to. We name only these three, because they are the ones that change shape.
The left column is your bottle list. Search it, sort it, and filter by readiness with Ready Now, Approaching and Too Young. The next bottle worth opening sits at the top.
The right column is the 3D wine wall: your racks, with every bottle in its slot and glass coloured by wine type. Find a bottle in the list and its place on the rack is already in view. Switch between 3D and 2D, or step through the rack from front to back.
The cellar is a Premium feature, on iPhone Duo as everywhere else.
Your tasting journal history runs down one side, with search and filters for wines, notes and venues. Pick an entry and it opens on the other side: the bottle photo, the producer, vintage and region, your rating, the venue and what you wrote.

Reading back through a year of bottles becomes a scroll rather than a series of taps. It is the quickest way to answer “what was that Barolo we loved in March?”
Open a wine and its details sit on the left: grapes, Sommo’s aroma estimate, body, sweetness, tannin and acidity, and when to drink it. On the right, Where it’s from places the wine on the wine map, with the region’s climate and soils below.

A Rioja reads beside Rioja. It is a small change that makes the wine and the place feel like one story, which is how they are learnt.
The rest of Sommo runs on the unfolded display too: Today, AI food pairing from your cellar, Taste DNA, wine lists and WSET study. They use the larger screen, but they are the same screens you know from iPhone and iPad, not separate iPhone Duo designs.
Study suits the inner display. Flashcards, mock exams and typed answers have space to breathe, and Level 1 is free.
Because it is one App Store app, nothing is separate. Your account, cellar, journal, study progress and Premium are the same on iPhone, iPhone Duo and iPad, and in the browser at web.sommo.app. Fold, unfold, switch devices: it is the same data.
The roomier layouts help on iPad as well, where Sommo is optimised for the larger screen. More on Sommo for iPhone and iPad.
Sommo is free to download. The free tier includes five lifetime AI label scans, the journal with 30 days of history, the interactive wine map and WSET Level 1 exam prep.
Premium is $4.99 a month, or $29.99 a year ($2.50 a month billed yearly). It adds unlimited scans, the cellar with the 3D wine wall and AI food pairing, WSET Levels 2 to 4 with AI-graded answers, and lifetime journal history. One subscription covers every platform. See pricing for the full comparison.
iPhone Duo support is part of the iOS app. The two-column claims on this page are limited to the cellar, journal and wine-and-map layouts above; other screens running on the larger display are Sommo on iPhone Duo, not features made only for it.
Sommo for Android, HarmonyOS and the web have their own phone, tablet and browser layouts, and this page makes no claim about them on folding devices.
Download Sommo free and unfold your cellar tonight. The platform page, Sommo for iPhone Duo, has more screens from the device.
Sommo is free to download on the App Store, the same app on iPhone, iPhone Duo and iPad. Premium is $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year.
